After a typical day of  “princessing”,  Rapunzel gazes in the Magic Mirror she borrowed from the Evil Queen, kicks off the glass slippers she borrowed from Cinderella and decides to let down her hair and enjoy a good book; however, we have to wonder what kind of book would the follicly favored femme fatale choose? Luckily, we have the answer as provided by the Barter Players lovely and talented Jenna Haimes who currently embodies the heroine in the Barter Theatre production of the classic fairy tale.

Jenna said, “My favorite books growing up were the Harry Potter series. I loved reading about adventure. I loved that the characters seemed just like me, but were also incredibly brave. I also liked how smart Hermione was and I wanted to be like her.

Now my favorite books are ‘Mere Christianity” by C.S. Lewis and “Captivating” by John and Stasi Eldredge. I like these books because they make me think and remind me that I am loved.”

We appreciate Jenna’s help and encourage everyone to see her in action at the Barter Theatre:  www.bartertheatre.com
