Anne of S.B.R.L.!

meganclose2

Anne of Green Gables and Anne of Avonlea are two of the most beloved books ever published for young readers. The author Lucy Maud Montgomery was born  on November 30, 1874 and died on April 24, 1942. The books spawned several popular sequels and have been made into more than one film and/or television series.  Perhaps the most popular film version of the series starred actress Megan Follows who may be currently seen on the series “Reign.” Stop by your Marion Library and try the DVD or some of the books!  We know you’ll soon think of Anne as a “kindred spirit.”

Give Thanks!

Mutts-ty

With Thanksgiving so near, it is an especially appropriate time to offer thanks for the blessings in our lives.  Naturally, we all yearn for and give thanks for health, peace, family, home, and friends but we may also take time to remember smaller blessings like hobbies that bring us pleasure like reading a good book or watching a DVD.  We are all thankful that our library is here to offer us such joys and we know you are equally glad.

Your local library will be open tomorrow from 9-12.  We will open normally on Saturday from 9-4.

Happy Thanksgiving!
