Broadcast journalist Sheinelle Jones was born on April 16, 1978. She aspired to become a television reporter as a child and achieved her dream career after graduating from Northwestern University where she was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha. She worked in various news markets including those in Springfield, Illinois, Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she hosted “Good Day, Philadelphia” for nine years. She currently serves as co-anchor on “Weekend Today” and anchors programs on MSNBC. Her combination of integrity, humor, and beauty has made her a popular figure on all of the NBC News broadcasts. She has three children.
