Have you heard the call to catch ‘em all? Do you like to read great books in the downtime between capturing gyms and hatching eggs? Then our Pokémon Go display is a perfect for you! Located in our Young Adult section, each team’s station features books handpicked to fit the intuitive senses of Team Instinct, the cool intellect of Team Mystic, and the passionate drive of Team Valor. And if you disagree with our selections, feel free to move the books to whichever team you feel they fit best; we’d like our display to be constantly evolving! You don’t need Poké Balls to capture these terrific reads!

The Graphic Novel Collection!

Have you visited the Graphic Novel collection in the Young Adult area downstairs? If not you’ve missed out on a great selection of books featuring characters from movies, television shows, and comic books both old and new. You’ll find super heroes, fantasy, science fiction, manga, and comedy. There is something for every age in the collection.
Today’s pick is The World According to Wonder Woman. This book aimed at younger readers does a fine job in presenting a guide to the heroine and her friends, foes, background, and mission. It is a guide to the current version of the character so fans of the classic version may be surprised by some of the changes that have been made to her origin and her world.
It is just one of the many great books available to patrons of all ages thanks to Miss Tracey’s discerning selections!

Miss Tracey ‘s Lego Club!
Posted in News on August 24, 2016| Leave a Comment »
Our own Lego Lady Miss Tracey will soon be starting a Lego club. Please donate your old Legos and contact her at traceyr@sbrl.org if you have any questions. The first meeting will be held from 6:00-7:30 on September 26! Lego creations may be very impressive as shown by this life-size Cinderella! We have to pity the poor girl though. Can you imagine how uncomfortable wearing slippers made out of Legos would be?
